"Food 3/5, just normal, the Hainan chicken not that good compare to hawker stall or the chicken rice shop. But 1 thing is good, free flow drinks n soup. The price also acceptable, not that expensive. Service 5/5, service very good, the waitress serve us very well, and not service charges Surrounding 4/5, quite comfort."

"Had their porridge with honey bbq and dry kuey teow with honey bbq chicken. Both are priced at 13.90 with free-flow water and soup. Personally I really like the porridge as there are chunks of century egg, salted egg and chicken. The honey bbq chicken is well marinated and soft. The shop also offers breakfast from 8am-9am. Would be interested to drop by again for their breakfast :)"

"Located conveniently in the bustling neighborhood of Bayan Baru, 70-1-56 & 70-2-56, D'PIAZZA MALL, Jalan Mahsuri is a go-to spot if you're craving warm, honest, and flavorful Hainanese meals. With a welcoming atmosphere and clean, casual seating, this eatery blends traditional flavors with a contemporary Malaysian touch that keeps customers coming back. The menu may look simple at first glance, but the dishes are packed with heart. The standout is definitely their Signature Hainanese Chicken Rice. The chicken is soft, succulent, and poached to perfection served with silky skin and juicy meat. It’s complemented by aromatic chicken rice, full of flavor thanks to the fragrant broth and hints of ginger and garlic. What ties the whole experience together is their excellent trio of sauces: punchy chili sauce, earthy ginger paste, and a rich dark soy sauce all house-made and thoughtfully balanced. Another great option for chicken lovers is the Roasted Chicken Rice, which offers a slightly crisp skin and deeper, more robust flavor from the roasting process. The texture contrasts beautifully with the soft rice, giving you a satisfying bite every time. One of the unexpected highlights of our visit was the Dry Koey Teow Set with Steamed Chicken. The koey teow was tossed in a light, savory soy-based sauce with a hint of sweetness, topped with crispy shallots and chopped spring onions. The noodles were smooth, not oily, and full of wok hei aroma. Paired with a portion of their signature steamed chicken and a small bowl of clear soup, the set is both filling and balanced ideal if you’re looking for something different from the usual rice dish but still want to enjoy that classic Hainanese flavor. To share, the Lobak Platter makes a perfect side. It comes with a mix of crispy five-spice meat rolls, tofu, and other fried goodies, all golden and crunchy without being greasy. The accompanying sweet chili sauce gives it just the right kick. Drinks here also hit the mark their homemade barley is smooth and refreshing, not overly sweet, and the iced kopi ping is strong and aromatic, perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up. Service is quick and courteous, with staff always ready to help with recommendations. The environment is clean, air-conditioned, and ideal for families, small groups, or even solo diners looking for a quick, comforting meal. Hainan Street in Bayan Baru is a delightful spot that delivers consistent, well-cooked meals with a focus on quality and tradition. Whether you’re after their famous chicken rice or want to try something like the dry koey teow set, you’re sure to leave satisfied. Great food, fair prices, and a comforting experience all around definitely worth a visit and the owner is the friendly and inviting. A cheerful restaurant."
